MEET OUR PASTOR
Robert L Stevens, Jr. was born on September 27, 1950 in Chippewa Falls, WI. At the age of eight years old, he asked Jesus Christ into his heart to be his Lord and Saviour. Pastor Stevens grew up in Chicago IL. It was there where he met and married his wife Maddaline. Pastor and Maddaline faithfully served the Lord together for 42 years. December 2017, Maddaline went home to be with their Lord and Saviour. They have six grown children, 22 grandchildren and counting! In 1981, Pastor and Mrs. Stevens began attending Sauk Trail Baptist Temple http://www.stbt.org/. In 1982 God called him to preach the gospel and under the ministry of the late Pastor Don Humbert, he surrendered his life to God's will. In 1986 he graduated from Bible College and moved to Chippewa Falls, WI to start Bethel Baptist Temple. In March of 1996, Pastor Stevens was in a serious automobile accident. The Lord closed the doors to Bethel Baptist Temple. To some it may have seemed that the Lord was done using Pastor Stevens, but God had another plan. In 2006, Pastor Stevens and family started attending Bridgewater Baptist Church. They instantly became involved with the work and the church ministries such as: Sunday School, Junior Church, music, Bible studies, and other church ministries and activities. In 2008, Pastor Stevens became Interim Pastor. In June 2008 Bridgewater Baptist Church called and officially voted him to be the Pastor. | Pastor Bob |
